This phase begins with site preparation, grading, and layout to establish the footprint of the new addition. We install footings, pour the foundation, and create the structural base needed to support the new space. All load-bearing points are tied into the existing home through proper engineering, anchor systems, and framing connections to ensure the structure functions as one. This includes building new load-bearing walls, reinforcing critical areas, and making sure the foundation aligns with the existing levels and elevations. The goal is a strong, stable, and code-compliant foundation that seamlessly supports every part of the addition moving forward.

Once the foundation is complete, we begin building the structural framework of the addition. This includes floor framing, wall framing, roof structure, and all necessary supports to define the layout and shape of the new space. Sheathing is installed on the walls and roof to create the exterior shell, followed by proper flashing and moisture barriers to protect the structure. All framing is aligned and tied into the existing home to ensure consistent rooflines, wall connections, and overall stability. This phase establishes the full structure of the addition and prepares it for mechanical work, windows, doors, and exterior finishes.

With the framing and shell in place, we install all necessary mechanical systems for the new addition. This includes running new electrical circuits, lighting, outlets, and switches; extending or adding plumbing lines for any sinks, bathrooms, or utilities; and integrating HVAC ducts, vents, or mini-split systems to ensure proper heating and cooling. Once the structure is weather-sealed, we install insulation throughout the walls, ceilings, and any required floor areas to improve energy efficiency, comfort, and noise control. After inspections are completed, drywall is hung, taped, and finished to create smooth interior surfaces. This includes corner bead installation, multiple coats of joint compound, and sanding to prepare the walls and ceilings for paint and interior finishes. This step transitions the addition from a framed structure into a defined interior space ready for the next stages of construction.

After the drywall is completed, we install the interior elements that bring the new space together. This includes flooring such as hardwood, tile, or carpet, along with baseboards, trim work, interior doors, and other finish details. We ensure all transitions align smoothly with the existing home and match the overall style of the project. This phase focuses on creating a clean, cohesive interior appearance and preparing the space for paint, fixtures, and final touches.

With the interior finishes in place, we complete the painting and detail work throughout the new addition. This includes priming and painting walls, ceilings, trim, and doors, along with caulking, touch-ups, and fine adjustments to ensure clean lines and a smooth finish. Fixtures, hardware, and final components are installed during this stage, bringing together all interior elements. This step completes the look of the space and prepares the addition for a thorough final walk-through and inspection.

Throughout the project, required inspections are scheduled and completed to ensure every phase of the addition meets local building codes and engineering standards. This includes checks on foundation work, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, and any structural tie-ins. We coordinate directly with the city or county to verify compliance at each stage before moving forward. This step ensures the addition is safely built, fully documented, and approved at all critical points of construction.

Once all construction and finish work is complete, we conduct a detailed final walkthrough of the new addition.
